The transition of Facebook pages to Meta’s ‘New Pages Experience’ was recently announced. Despite the delayed roll-out, Facebook intends to convert all pages to their newer format. Whether you’re ready or not, these updates will be made to your company’s profile.
New Page Experiences
The new version highlights the division between your profile and the page for your company. You may now manage your page and profile separately on Facebook, and you can switch back and forth between the two.
The page layout is simplified and made more user-friendly. The feed for your page is now distinct from the meal for your profile. By doing this, you can create your page’s feed around authoritative accounts and essential themes.
In other words, the New Pages Experience helps you manage your account and company page more independently by drawing a more apparent distinction between them.
Is a return possible?
Whether or not one can go back to the original setting is one of the first queries people ask when their page changes to the new format. Though this is possible, it can be complex and have clear consequences.
Facebook claims that some accounts can revert to the old look. But if you do, you will no longer be able to access any Facebook adverts or material you created when you were on a new page. Depending on how long your account has been in the new layout, it may be a severe issue regarding how many posts and adverts you’ve created.
Additionally, you might need to restructure some of the information on your page, such as your bio and contact details.
Advantages of new layout
Even though trying anything new can be frightening, switching to new pages has some benefits. Among the most significant are the following:
• Updated professional dashboards for mobile use
• More straightforward and easier-to-use insights/data
• Simpler portals for providing page permissions like editor, moderator, etc.
Now or never?
Given the difficulty of switching to a new layout, whether some of these modest advantages are worthwhile is still very much disputed. So far, Facebook doesn’t appear to be changing their mind about moving to the New Pages Experience.
Since it is the most used format, many people continue using the traditional page format for as long as possible. In addition, many people wish to wait until bugs and flaws in the New Pages Experience are fixed before switching.
It’s okay if the change to Facebook’s interface appears overwhelming. We recognize how challenging it may be to consistently keep on the cutting edge of social media because it is continuously changing and evolving.
